Discover The Benefits Of Being A Work-at-home Mom

By Jill Spencer

There are many benefits to being a work-at-home Mom or WAHM. You can be with your kids and you can get rid of daycare costs. You are never late for work. You can hang out all day in your pajamas if you want to so long as you make sure that you are working. You can be an entrepreneur and make a ton of money. And you can tussle with keeping your house clean and getting your laundry done just like every other Mom.

Mom is generally the Chief Executive Officer of the entire household. It doesn't matter if she works outside or inside the home her job is to make certain that the house runs efficiently. It can be overwhelming at times. A work at home mom has to be even more disciplined in view of the fact that she is busy working and making a living and she shouldn't take time away from work to clean the house, do the laundry and scrub the toilets even if it will just take a minute.

Mom is responsible for most of the cleaning of the house, like the washing of the dishes, the doing of the laundry, the scrubbing of the toilets and as well the bulk of the grocery shopping and meal preparation and the mom is the one who attends all of the PTA meetings. Dad's help and some dad's help a lot but for some reason it seems to be more of moms responsibility.

Certainly, part of that is that Mom's want to have it all. A great business (or career), well behaved offspring, heaps of money in the bank and a clean house. Together with plenty of free time to workout and get in shape, run down and get a pedicure, read books and enjoy family time. Is it possible for a WAHM to have it all?

The fact is that there are only so many hours in a day and when you are trying to do it all by yourself something has to give. Behind every successful woman is a huge pile of dirty laundry because it is hard to get the laundry done when you are working on more important and pressing items.

In a perfect world, moms could delegate out several of the household chores that she is stressed with. First off, hire a housecleaner. There are people who love to clean and they should be paid to do it. Mom can be doing what she loves which is working on the business and the home can still be clean. That is a fantastic solution!

Similar thing with laundry, the yard work and everything else that doesn't get done since Mom is working. It is even possible to start having the groceries delivered. Mom's time is better spent working or doing something else!

But even with all of the challenges of working at home while getting the laundry finished and keeping the house clean being a WAHM is a wonderful job. Can't beat it. However the kitchen is still a mess and there is a huge pile of dirty clothes on the laundry room floor. Better hire that maid right away!
